we have not had a tv i nine years. to some this statement may sound wholly crazy, to others, boring and will go without notice. a television that is on most of the time, listened to some and even watched on occasion, commercials become background noise and barely audible over everyday life. people with tvs who have them on most of the time don’t realize what they would be missing if they only watched online tv through things like hulu and netflix. i for one am waiting for the regular tv to go away.

that said, i hate netflix’s landing page. the search function doesn’t work for me and because i work when i listen to things (without commercials, thank goodness) i like to be able to get to things quickly. so, as an exercise for myself- if i could redesign netflix’s landing page for myself, this is what would i want it to look like. do i know anyone that works for netflix?

a few weeks ago i found this prefab wood dollhouse at creative depot, and had promised myself if i found one at a reasonable price i would try to paint it like a painting, with layers, and color should not matter from room to room, that the outside should be as interesting and beautiful as the inside. it’s still a long away from being complete but here’s a peek of the facade in progress.
